Textures: scarves+shawls
SCARVES or SHAWLS
I revel in spontaneously creating fluffy and fuzzy textures, love their asymmetry, their wonky colour combinations, irregularity and contrast in texture: matt and shiny, rough and smooth, hard and soft.
Scarves are 5-7 metres long, usually 18-22 cm (7-9") wide. Shawls are 70cm (28") wide, usually 5 metres long. They have been used as scarves.

All are one-of-a-kind,though various themes may be repeated. Some are available for purchase, some are already being enjoyed by clients. Commissions on order are happily accepted.

HAPPY CLIENTS AND EXHIBITS

Diane and "Chanel Rouge" in baby alpaca
One of my pleasures is seeing my clients enjoying the scarves and shawls they choose.
Each time their selection is perfect for their colouring and personality.

Whether they exhibit yin or yang energy, whether their personality reflects the elements of fire, wood, metal, earth or water, their choices are mirrors of who they are.

Arts on Main gallery in Picton Ontario exhibits artwork from local artists.
This summer/fall 2013 I am honored to be one of their guest artists.

Shown here are "Cobwebs and Dewdrops", a shawl/throw in fine kid mohair, with matching cushion in baby alpaca+kid mohair.  To the right is "Silver Threads Among the Grey", a scarf in baby alpaca and acylic blends.

WEAVING THE BLUES

Moody blues: pale, cloudy, bright, deep, patriotic, a blue for any style, atmosphere or purpose.
Some scarves are all blue, some with contrasting purples or pinks, many combined with white. They can enhance your jeans, your outer wear, or a dressy outfit - another way to express your changing moods.
